Importance Of Entry Mats

Roughly 80 percent of the dirt in a commercial building is tracked in through the main entrance. Trapping this dirt before it reaches interior floor surfaces is one of the simplest and most important ways of keeping floors clean. This can be accomplished with a well-placed entrance matting system.

If your facility has an asphalt parking lot, use floor mats that are grease and oil resistant. Although, mats are designed to trap dirt and grit that can cause damage to finished floors, they too need to be maintained. Mats should be vacuumed at least once a day in order to remove excess dirt before it builds up too much inside mat's fibers and makes the mat itself ineffective. As we stated before, mats themselves cannot keep your building floors clean, they are just one part of the whole floor maintenance system that when implemented properly will keep your building and your floors looking immaculate.
